Description
I was recruited to design/make invitations for my future sister-in-law's bridal shower.
Most of the supplies I already had at home in my old papercraft box. I made a couple rough drafts, which I'll probably keep in one of my progress folders. I have only one or two finished copies left.
The envelopes and cards are ivory in color with hole-punched lace. The cards have lace from Tigers-stock. The ribbon is aqua in color with polka dots. The removable save-the-dates inside were six colors, lavender and yellow are shown. The vellum sheets to make sure the ink doesn't smear, are hole-punched with a corner punch; same as the envelopes. They also have an inclusion of the bride's wedding colors of silver and antique gold.
55 cards and envelopes made for mailing, one un-mailed for the bride's memory book, and one or two left for my portfolio.
The main thing I learned? It would have been much easier to make just a simple announcement for showers. This style is definitely better reserved for wedding invitations.
